My experience with Buildcraft was positive from the very first time we walked into the display home and that experience lasted right throughout the job and beyond. From the outset, Joe and John were highly responsive - they came out to our area view the block that we planned to buy and were realistic in advising me of the approximate build costs. The tender process was very fair and open and there were no hidden "surprises" to catch out unwary clients.

The entire build from start to finish was handled with the uptmost professionalism and attention to detail. Julina and Anthony were fantastic and implemented client initiated changes graciously and with good humour. Aaron is a fantastic operator and we feel very fortunate to have had him overseeing the day-to-day elements of our build. The changes to the initial design are perfect for us and your designer’s ability to think outside the square, tailoring the design to suit our site and aspect was a delight. The attention to detail ensured that the design sits comfortably next to period homes in the street. It looks settled into the landscape, appropriate and beautiful.

People we know who have done a knock-down rebuild have complained endlessly about the process, delays, difficulties, problems with tradies not delivering on time, variations being inaccurate – the list goes on. We encountered nothing like this with Buildcraft. So, our response to our friends who built with bigger companies or higher profile companies? “Should have gone to Buildcraft”.

We recommend Buildcraft to all who ask- and even those who don’t. It has been such a great experience. I still can’t believe that I am living in the best build in the street. My next build – a duplex in western Sydney – will be a Buildcraft build too. I know there are cheaper options on the market, but I want the quality that I know is built in to the Buildcraft philosophy. I remember a conversation with John about the rustic look of 2nd quality floorboards which I rather liked. “I don’t build with anything that’s second quality”, said John. When Ralph and I decided to knock down our old house and build a new one for us, my husband’s brother had just moved into a beautiful house which had been built by Buildcraft Constructions and we were both very impressed with their workmanship, especially Ralph.

We did spend a few weekends looking around the Homemaker centre and also the Buildcraft display home at Kellyville, but without talking to any other builder we decided to use Buildcraft to build our dream home. During our first meeting with Joe, Anthony and Phil, we were made to feel very welcomed and important. As the design of our home was French Provincial inspired and we had an idea of the plan of the house, we had numerous meeting and discussions with Phil so that we could come up with a design which we were happy. Yes there were a few changes and nothing was ever a problem for Phil and at the end we were extremely happy with the way it was designed.

The whole team at Buildcraft was very patient with our requests and they gave advice where it was needed using the experience that they have in the building trade. John and Joe are very knowledgeable on every matter in the building process and if they give advice, you should adhere to it as they know what they are talking about.

Anthony was the middle man between us and Buildcraft and his guidance, attention to details, support and constant correspondence made the whole process of the building an enjoyable one.

Julina has a ton of knowledge as far as council regulations are concerned etc and she made the process of dealing with Council an easy one….if there is any easy one!!!!

John and Kris who deal with the contract, variations etc were always there to explain everything and answer any questions that we had.

Interior designer extraordinaire, James Trebble, was there to guide us in making the final choices and for that we were very grateful.

Once the plans were finalized and approved, the building process started and that’s when Aaron Riddle took over the project. Aaron is a great project manager who always has the customer’s best interest at heart, and nothing is ever too much for him. He is also readily available for any advice . The team of contractors that Buildcraft uses, from the bricklayers, to the painters, the tilers and Rob and Phil from All Class Kitchens are second to none and their workmanship is impeccable. The team were also very accommodating with us as far as meetings on site and in the office as both of Ralph and I work so we would always meet before work or after work.

The whole process took about 8 months to finish and we are extremely happy with the way our dream home has turned out.

They strive for perfection and they get it and that what makes Buildcraft one of the best Builders in Sydney. John and Joe have a fantastic family business of which they should be very proud. All the staff love their job and it show because they make us, the customer feel always special.

Dear John and Joe, As you are both aware, | was very hesitant on embarking on such a huge project as building a new home, particularly as my previous experience in building some 10 years ago with a high profile prestige builder was less than satisfactory and a time of much stress and heartache. Working full time and travelling meant that | would have limited spare time to closely project manage the build, however having purchased land and wanting a new home to accommodate our needs | had few options but to make some initial enquiries as to whom was a reputable builder in the Hills area and who was currently building quality homes. On each occasion whether it be tradesmen or real estate agents the response was unanimous — Buildcraft Constructions. My son also made some enquiries and confirmed the feedback. | then proceeded to visit the display home at Kellyville and was very impressed by the open and very practical design and quality of the home and the craftsmanship. The attention to detail and finishes were of a very high quality and standard. | contacted Buildcraft Constructions in order to make some initial enquiries and to arrange an appointment. John from Buildcraft returned my call within 10 minutes. This was by far a standout and a very positive sign as | had previously tried to contact other high end builders who only returned my calls after leaving several messages and that being either a week or two later and in one instance even 2 months later. Responsiveness and access were key considerations for me in selecting a builder and Buildcraft Constructions were by far a standout in their responsiveness at the outset and throughout the entire project.

John Ugarkovic inspected the proposed building site and took onboard my specific floor plan and design requirements, using the display home at Kellyville as a base - 5 car garage, huge easy flow living area, separate self-contained accommodation for my son, guest room and adjoining ensuite, study, spacious upstairs bedrooms and a large alfresco dining area. John provided valuable suggestions and shared his extensive experience in design and building. Appreciating that | am more of a visual person, Buildcraft were very understanding and after a number of sessions we agreed on the final design of the home.

Buildcraft also assigned an interior designer to assist me with the selection process for both the interior and exterior of the home such as roof tiles, colours, garage doors, carpets, tiles, bathroom fittings, kitchen etc. They provided very detailed checklists for both the interior and the exterior with a very wide selection of quality products, generous allowances and an opportunity to physically sight the products which | found to be very effective and time efficient. There were many options and friendly guidance provided which ensured that building variations were kept to a minimum. There was nothing not included or discussed in detail prior to the final signing of the contract. The process was very transparent, timely and professional as to the final contract price, proposed completion date and submission into council. Throughout the project there were constant updates and re-confirmation as to selections, using only the best tradesman and quality products. Both Julina Ugarkovic and Anthony Ugarkovic were exceptional in providing updates, assisting with the selection process and in providing guidance and support during the project. Aaron Riddle as the site supervisor and responsible for coordinating the build was very accessible, provided regular updates and returned every call within 10 to 15 minutes despite being on site. | got to know Aaron toward the end of the build as we worked toward meeting the agreed completion date. Aaron was very particular and precise in ensuring a quality finished product. He also worked with the landscapers that Buildcraft Constructions had recommended in coordinating the landscaping.

We moved into our new home which was on time and a quality product being delivered, exceeding all of my expectations. The building process was a great experience and we enjoyed just watching our quality home being built with a minimum of fuss by a very experienced quality builder. It has been a great experience and it was a pleasure dealing with the team from Buildcraft Constructions who pride themselves in their workmanship, professionalism and reputation as a quality builder. | would be happy to provide any additional recommendation to potential clients or in assisting Buildcraft Constructions in any way in the future.

Wow, what a fantastic journey we have been through in building our house with Buildcraft.

Everyone said what a difficult time it is dealing with builders, well I can honestly now say, they did not pick the right builder. Initially we had signed with a Project Home builder but as the list of items we were after were refused, we were forced to examine our options. Right from the start, Buildcraft guided us through all the difficult sections, like planning the layout, colour designs and just general ideas that would enhance the property. We were lucky to find the team at Buildcraft Constructions, because no change was a problem. They embraced our dream and enhanced it to the point that concepts we had, were improved upon. The quality of the workmanship was way beyond what we could have hoped for. The team of tradesmen were excellent and very particular about their work. At the outset there was clarity as to the design of the home (the team were extremely patient as we went through several iterations of the design), the Stage 1 Outside Selection and the Stage 2 Internal Selection processes, with detailed checklists ensuring that every selection was covered, and any additional options proposed and considered.
